Aimco Solrec is looking to upgrade of the separation walls in its industrial facility office/laboratory areas to meet current building code and fire separation requirements. It is also required as part of the renovation to upgrade the existing ground floor laboratory. This will include adjusting the current layout and upgrade of all new cabinets and counter tops etc. made of non-combustible material and that is easy to clean. The goal is re-purpose the existing space to make it more functional to the end user operators. Master Peers has been retained to provide project management, architectural design, structural engineering design, and mechanical design services (HVAC, Lighting, plumbing changes) for office ground floor and laboratory areas. The project includes preparation of design drawings required for building permit and construction. The project includes general review of construction. |

Master Peers has been retained to provide project management and engineering services for required alterations of interior design of the IDA Pharmacy & medical services office building, Niagara Falls. The building’s owner and tenants required an open concept design to the pharmacy / waiting areas. The project’s objective was to provide a new functional layout and more welcoming office space to better serve clients. The project required assessment of the original drawings and existing conditions, identification of structural or non-structural walls and supporting structural system, preparation of demolition and shoring plans, preparation of architectural and structural design packages, review of fire safety code compliance and propose alterations as required, preparation of building permit package, and general review of construction. |

Rebar Enterprises Inc. has retained Master Peers Ltd. to perform a third-party review of an engineering software tool developed by Rebar Enterprises Inc to estimate the design of steel reinforcement ‘standees’ used in reinforced concrete mats. ‘Standee’ is a term used in some regions of the country to designate a special bar bent to a U-shape with 90° bent legs extending in opposite directions at right angles to the U-bend. |

Master Peers has been retained to procurement, project/construction management and engineering services for interior alterations required for Belmont Park Medical Centre office building, Kitchener. The new center will encompass pharmacy area and a medical clinic, which includes exam rooms, doctors’ offices and staff/nursing services area. An open concept design to the pharmacy / waiting areas is provided to better serve patients and visitors. Master Peers’ scope included the following: a) Procurement support of all construction materials including preparation of bill of materials, purchase orders, and arrangement of delivery and handling at site. b) Project & Construction Management including schedule preparation, review of quality of construction. c) Liaison with General Contractor and other speciality contractors for Electrical and Mechanical works. d) General review of construction and liaison with building department of City of Kitchener. |
